The annual Prize Giving ceremony of Daybridge International School was held at the Bishop's College Auditorium on 29th September 2024 for academic year 2023/2024 .
It was a special day filled with pride, and inspiration as students were celebrated for their hard work and achievements throughout the year.
The chief guest for the event was Dr Kokila Ranasinghe, a respected Senior Lecturer in Chemistry from the Department of Natural Sciences. We were all excited and thankful to have her with us and her presence meant a lot!

The ceremony began with the distribution of awards for the Primary Section where the younger students received subject prizes and class prizes for their achievements. Then came the awards for the Secondary Section, where students were given subject prizes and class prizes. The whole auditorium was filled with claps and cheers.
One of the most inspiring parts of the event was when our chief guest Dr. Kokila Ranasinghe gave a motivational speech that encouraged us to believe in ourselves and work hard no matter what challenges come our way.
Mrs. Dilrukshi Jayaratne our Principal of the Secondary Section, delivered the report on the school’s achievement for the year.
The event ended with everyone feeling proud of themselves knowing that hard work always pays off! It was not just a prize-giving ceremony, but also a celebration of growth, and dreams!
